Everything about Bondi Rescue totally explained

Bondi Rescue is an Australian reality television program which is broadcast on Channel Ten. The program follows the day to day life of the lifeguards at work patrolling Bondi Beach, who ensure the safety of beach revelers.
   The first two seasons of Bondi Rescue were broadcast in early 2006 and 2007, with seasons sometimes repeated later in the year. The third series of Bondi Rescue began screening weekly from February 5, 2008. Bondi Rescue is also broadcasted in the UK, New Zealand, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany.
   The series has been a ratings success for Channel Ten earning the highest rated program for a Tuesday night.

Overview

The Bondi lifeguards perform around 2,500 rescues over the summer period, dealing with lost children, shark scares, perverts/paedophiles, and thieves on the beach in addition to watching the water, and every once in a while celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Richard Branson, The late Steve Irwin, Bindi Irwin and the Indian Cricket Team.
   Footage for the show is shot during the preceding Australian summer (usually between November and February), with certain episodes reflecting incidents that have occurred during New Year's Day and Australia Day. Season three also featured footage of lifeguard trials and training exercises from the middle of the year.

The Lifeguards

A Group of 13 lifeguards make up the team at Bondi. They are:
